Downloadable Demo of Educational Inventory produced by EduServ for Qatari Teachers  I provided consultancy to EduServ (a Qatari for-profit educational consultancy) to plan, design and manage a local inventory of digitalized K-12 educational resources, and mapping those to the local curriculum standards to be used by public schools within Qatar. The work included providing pedagogical description and advice to each of the hundreds of provided online educational resources and the design of advanced taxonomies and search options. منى يونس شهدت  أفغانستان،  إبان حكم "طالبان"، تدنياً في المستويين التعليمي والتربوي، حتى وصف التعليم فيها آنذاك بالأضعف على مستوى العالم، ورغم التطور الملحوظ الذي سُجل منذ العام 1999، حيث ارتفعت على سبيل المثال نسب الالتحاق بالنظام التعليمي الرسمي من 4% في عام 1999 إلى 79% في العام 2010، إلا أنه ما زالت هناك  عقبات كثيرة لا بد من تخطيها  للوصول لمستويات أعلى ولا سيما في ما يخص تعليم الفتيات. تعتبر فتيات  المناطق النائية والريفية  الأكثر تهميشاً واستبعاداً من النظام التعليمي، وتزيد نسبة التهميش مع ارتفاع نسب الفقر والمستوى الاقتصادي المتدني للأسر. وفرص التعلم بالنسبة لهن تحفها العديد من العقبات، مثل الزواج المبكر، وقلة عدد المعلمات في قطاع التعليم. من المعروف أن نسب من يلتحقن بالتعليم الثانوي في أفغانستان نسب ضئيلة للغاية. ونسبة الإناث غير الأميات في الفئة العمرية من 15-24 تصل إلى واحدة من بين خمس فتيات. في ظل هذا الوضع وهذه المشاكل المركبة حاولت العديد من الهيئات والمؤسسات العاملة في المجال الخروج بحلول مبتكرة وأكثر توافقاً مع الب...

I am an Independent Consultant in the field of " Education in Emergencies ". I have an over  15 years experience in the MENA region, in the field of teaching, teacher training, curriculum development and instructional design with specific interest and postgraduate studies related to education in emergencies' (EiE) with a specific focus on the use of ICT in conflict and post-conflict contexts, I am as well interested in the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of educational initiatives.  I recently finalized a UNHCR consultancy (Accelerated Education Research – MENA region).
